Hi,

If you are a journalist working on stories in developing countries you know how hard it is to get data. Absence of freedom of information laws, meddling bureaucracy, corrupt officials, lack of paper trails all hinder investigative reporting.

But did you know that a lot of information is locked away in federal, state and international NGO databases. There are tons of documents and databases on weapon sales, aid, lobbying spending scattered among various governments and institutions. The Ujima Project is an endeavor to collect, organize, and display all such information. We want to make it easy for journalists and others to acquire and mine data.

If you have data files or documents you would like to share please submit them to us. We need your help. Please join us!
